Celebrate the world's biggest beer festival the Byron Bay way as Stone & Wood host their Oktoberfest.
If you'd like to join them, be at the Byron brewery on October 2 where you'll enjoy the release of two new German-style beers – a hefeweizen and dunkel – plus food from 100 Mile Kitchen; think bratwurst and pretzels and you're in the right zone.
The brewers will getting suitably festive, decked out in tracht and leading tours of the brewery including the history and how-to behind their German beers.
Meanwhile, out in the courtyard, local musicians will be adding to the ambience. And if you've got a dusty old dirndl or some lederhosen lurking in your wardrobe, give it an airing and wear it with pride as there are prizes for the best dressed.
Doors are open from 11am to 6pm, and there are no bookings required.
North of the border? Stone & Wood's Brisbane brewpub is holding its own Oktoberfest party on October 22.
