Sailors Grave's annual winter festival has always celebrated the off-kilter, the adventurous and the gnarly. And, in 2023, they welcome someone capable of providing the ideal soundtrack to such an event to their Gippsland brewery.
On June 10, Deep In The Weeds will be headlined by none other than CW Stoneking and His Primitive Horn Orchestra, supported by the Misty Harlowe Band and Lekku.
It sounds like a match made in heaven: CW's swampy take on 1920s blues paired with Sailors Grave's always-experimental beers on the banks of the Snowy River in Orbost.
Continuing the pairings are Meatsmith Melbourne, who will be serving up smoked, Mexican style dishes, with Lindenow Long Paddock on dessert duties.
Tickets for the festival cost $40pp, and you can book meal tickets in advance for $25 (there are vego options too), with an additional $10 securing securing some of Long Paddock's Choc Meringue Pie.
