The Geelong Beer Festival (formerly known as GABF) is returning to the resplendent grounds of Johnstone Park in Geelong on January 20 and will have the place heaving with top-notch local produce and entertainment.
Now into its tenth edition, the festival will feature a swathe of local and regional breweries, cider makers, distilleries, cocktail specialists, and wineries pouring their wares.
Alongside that you'll be able to enjoy gourmet street food and other culinary adventures; indeed, there's a Culinary Stage where you can take in live cooking demonstrations from well-known names showcasing local ingredients, as well as beer masterclasses featuring trivia, beer/food matching and free tastings.
On the music front, the Sound Lounge will feature roving and interactive performances with the Ale Capones, DJ and saxophone sets, dance competitions and a grand finale from the Piano Bars’ Andy Pobjoy and the Ale Capones. Meanwhile, the Main Stage will feature The Bag Raiders (DJ Set) supported by local favourites Famous Will and covers band Madhouse.
You can even bring the little ones along for the day as there'll be roving performers, kids’ entertainment and other family friendly activities.
Tickets are a shade under $35, with additional options if you're coming from out of town and looking for a place to stay. You can check out the options using the link below.
