It's more than fair to say that the crew at Working Title are partial to an IPA or several, of pretty much any and every conceivable variation of the style. So with International IPA Day rolling around, who would you rather spend it with?
On August 3 [yes, IPA Day is technically August 1, but they reckon this kind of lineup packs more punch than most mortals can handle on a school night] they'll be celebrating with a homage to California, the spiritual home of punchy new world IPAs.
There'll be IPA galore, with the launch of a couple of new Working Title beers – a Black IPA and an NZ Thiolised IPA - plus guest taps pouring hoppy treats from Future Brewing, Kicks Brewing, One Drop, and Bracket Brewing. Not a fan of IPA? No worries – they'll have classic Cali cocktails too.
For sustenance they'll be slinging Cali style burritos and salchipapa specials, and the Same Old Suspects will be spinning West Coast bangers all day.
And arguably the pièce de résistance will take place on the big screen as they make a direct 8bit connection with the 80s and beam in the era-defining classic 'California Games'.
