It's an enviable conundrum, to be seated at a table where a fine meal has been placed in front of you and you must decide what would pair best with what's on your plate: beer or cocktail? At Working Title, the answer is an emphatic, "Both!"
On September 12 the Newstead brewery will be hosting Mixed 'n Matched, a very special beer dinner where your palate will be happily pulled in every direction and dragged across flavour country until you end up somewhere far more interesting and enlightened.
It'll be a four course feast, with each course matched to a brand new Working Title beer and a specially chosen cocktail. Here's how the menu shapes up:
- Tempura zucchini flower, cauliflower puree, orange, soy & ginger syrup with Raw Oat Cream IPA and Orange Creamsicle cocktail
- Barramundi, dry curry noodles, pineapple, young peppercorns with San Diego IPA and Blackberry Pine Bramble cocktail
- Karaage rabbit, stewed stonefruit, charred leek, barley with Mulberry Swirl Sour and Mulberry Cider cocktail
- Beer & Milo cheesecake, biscuit crumble, berry syrup, petals with American Double Red Ale and Biscoff Martini
