Over the past decade, the Merri Mashers homebrew club has become a hotbed of Melbourne brewing talent, with their members gathering regularly to share beers, ideas, host events and, in plenty of cases, put wheels in motion to open breweries of their own.
One of their most popular events is an IPA competition where the winning beer getting scaled up and released commercially at a local brewery. This year the best IPA was deemed to be 'Serpendipity', a Texas Brown IPA brewed by Zac Walsh, and he's had the chance to re-brew it at Tallboy & Moose where it will now get all the bells and whistles of a proper public launch party.
