We've made a habit of running events on the eve of Bendigo On The Hop. And, for 2024, the event is a rather special one.
Holgate Brewhouse – long-term sponsors of the festival – turn 25 later in the year, so we're joining them for a party at the Black Swan, the pub where they'll be stationed for the festival, for a trip down Memory Lane.
Brewery co-founder Paul Holgate and head brewer Chris Brady will join Crafty founder James Smith for a beer tasting with a twist: we'll be sharing Holgate beers alongside some of the beers that inspired Paul to launch his brewery way back in 1999.
The identity of the eight beers is being kept a secret until the night, but they go far and wide!
The guided tasting and tales from 25 years of beers runs from 6pm to 7.30pm, with tickets costing $30pp – or $25 for Crafty Cabal members.

Stick around afterwards for 25 Years Trivia from 7.30pm to 8.30pm – win prizes with your knowledge of the years 1999 to 2024. And, topping it all off will be great 90s tunes all night.
