They're off to the races, German style, at Mountain Monk as they host a family and fur-friend friendly Oktoberfest celebration.
Taking place at the Mount Beauty brewery on October 5, you'll be able to indulge in all the necessities required to appropriately observe Oktoberfest, namely German-style beers (which in their case will include a new Weizenbier and Dackel "Dachshund" Dunkel) plus authentically styled food.
But they're also pushing the barrel out a bit with loads of free entertainment, including face painting and balloon artists for the kiddies, live music from local artists that goes all day and well into the evening, and market stalls where you can pick up one-of-a-kind crafts and tasty treats.
Then there's the main event.
Kicking off at 2pm, the Dachshund Dash and Dachshund Best Dressed Competition will pit everyone's favourite short-legged, long-bellied breed against each other for some good-natured fun.
