As they dust off the cobwebs of winter on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula and look forward to a long summer in the beer garden, Tar Barrel Brewery & Distillery has a little treat in store for beer and spirit lovers.
On November 26 they'll be teaming up with the pop-up fine diners at Offside Dining for a special feast: 'A Spirited Degustation' as they're calling it.
It's centred around the brewery's forthcoming barrel-aged imperial stout and imperial whiskey stout releases, and for this one evening your palate will be taken on a sensory adventure that matches wide-ranging and top notch booze with super-fresh seasonal produce. You'll also have the advantage of having brewers, distillers, and chefs being on hand to talk you through the respective processes and methods behind the matches.
When booking you'll have the option to choose beer or spirit matching (or both) - it all depends what you think you'd prefer to drink alongside the likes of kangaroo tartare, gin-cured salmon, and chocolate and whiskey cremeux...
