The biggest gathering of beer and brewers in Tasmania takes place this November with the return of the Tasmanian Beerfest. Breweries from across Tasmania, the rest of Australia and overseas gather for two days at Princes Wharf No.1, in Hobart, to show off their wares to the wider public. According to the organisers: "Whether your approach is educational, recreational or professional, the Tasmanian Boutique Beer Festival offers an unparalleled opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of craft beer. Get the inside information on production and distribution and broaden your palate and capacity for informed appreciation with tips directly from renowned brewers." It starts at 5pm on the Friday with "Locals Night": live music, quality food and 100s of different beers. Tickets cost $25 (including a Beerfest tasting cup and 10 tasting tokens).
