The hunt is on for volunteers to help ensure this year's Great Australasian Beer SpecTAPular is a success.
This time around, the organisers are after 420 people to help run the show, which takes place at the Royal Exhibition Building from May 23 to 25 - the closing weekend of this year's Good Beer Week.
Volunteers are needed across all sessions and they particularly need volunteers with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificates to serve beer behind the GABS bars.
There will be more than 250 beers showcased by around 150 Australian and international brewers, including up to 120 unique beers brewed just for the festival and around 30 merchant stands.
There will be a range of volunteer roles, which include:
* Front of house; greeting and processing festival attendees and providing event information
* Beer service; pouring beer and helping to keep the bars working
* Beer education; supporting the Craft Beer College and people to enjoy the festival
* Brewery support; supporting the brewery bars that will line the festival walls
In return for volunteering, each GABS volunteer can attend a free session and will receive a festival glass, $20 worth of beer and food tokens. All volunteers will also receive an exclusive GABS volunteer t-shirt.
People interested in volunteering can register online [here](https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/9L9VV89).
People with any questions about volunteering at GABS can contact volunteer@thelocal.com.au.
