Taking a break from its spiritual home of the Dove & Olive, the Craft Beer Fight Club is headed out east to Randwick and its sister venue The Dog Hotel for the first time. And it's a blockbuster from the off with two of the country's leading craft breweries – Stone & Wood and Feral – up against each other.
How it all works is that each brewer selects two of their best beers then - along with guests - debate, de-construct, digest and vote until an ultimate winner has been found. The brewery will go forward to the Grand Final which will take place during Sydney Craft Beer Week.
Aside from getting to try some great beers, you'll get to learn stuff from the people that make the beer, meet some good folk, have some laughs and a great afternoon out where the focus is firmly on fun.
There are two ticket types on offer, depending on how much you want to get involved:
- A Heavyweight ticket gets you four schooners - one of each beer - and will cost $30
- A Featherweight ticket is for those who are newer to beer and just want to try a bit of everything (four middies) and it costs $20
You can pick up both kinds of tickets here.
NB We're giving away a pair of Heavyweight tickets in our Friday newsletter on April 15 so sign up if you don't already receive it.
