Despite the success of the Auld Bulgin' Boysterous Bicep, smoked oyster stouts haven't yet managed to catch on and become 'a thing' in Australia... yet. But the cause is being bolstered by the latest beer from 3 Ravens.
This Thursday they launch their own Smoked Oyster Stout, a bastardised version of their regular oatmeal stout that's been run through hickory-smoked oyster shells for two days, and to celebrate the brewers are shouting beers.
To help you get to the brewery and back in one piece, Ben's Brewery Tours will be shuttling people to and from Thornbury train station between 5pm and 7pm. If you're planning on staying later than that (and why not when the next day is a public holiday?), trivia will kick off at 7:30pm.
