HERE'S WHERE YOU COME IN…

Our packaging team works closely with the brewers to coordinate all packaging operations.  This includes the filling and packing of cans, bottles and kegs. As we update our packaging line with some shiny new pieces of machinery the Packaging Team Leader will be working alongside and reporting to the Packaging Manager as well as the Head Brewer. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the pack line and team. This role is perfect for someone ready to take the next step in their career as we are able to provide ongoing progression and development as we are set to open another brewery in Moorabbin later this year. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As the Packaging Team Leader you will: 

  • Lead a team of packaging staff on shift, including training and development
  • Foster teamwork and open communication
  • Operate packaging and labelling machinery - this is a hands-on role!
  • Assist to create and continuously improve SOPs and safety procedures, ensure cleaning schedules are upheld to the highest standard
  • Assist with conducting and scheduling preventative and reactive maintenance, perform some minor maintenance on the go
  • Work with and oversee external mechanics and technicians
  • Conduct weekly stocktake of packaging materials and order materials as directed by the Packaging Manager
  • Manage in-bound logistics of packaging materials from suppliers & 3PLs 

THINGS YOU ARE

The successful candidate will be passionate and hard-working, able to assist in the smooth and efficient running of packaging operations. We are looking for someone who prioritises safety at all times and promotes that culture in the wider team. You are capable of a range of mechanical repairs, taking ownership of ongoing maintenance for all packaging equipment. You will be committed to product quality, with an eye for detail and genuine pride in the output of the brewery. Driven to progress in your career.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a similar role 
  • A demonstrated safety-first approach
  • High mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills
  • Hands-on experience with an inline filler/seamer and labelling system preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration and leadership skills
  • Victorian Forklift Licence
  • A strong work ethic and passion for beer!
