Job Description: Head Brewer
Modus Operandi are looking for an energetic, dynamic and creative individual to join the crew and lead the production team in Mona Vale. Reporting Directly to the brewery operations manager, the roll covers both production and administration tasks, including:
- Day to day management of all brewery staff – including rostering
- Raw materials forecasting and ordering
- Packaging forecasting
- NPD & Recipe Development
- Quality control & Sensory programs
- Hands on production tasks including, wort production, cellar, filtration packaging and lab analysis
- Accurate and up to date record keeping
- Managing maintenance programs
Candidates should have:
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Strong organisational skills
- A strong technical background
- A track record in continuous improvement of both process and product
- A focus on OH&S/safe work practices
- Experience with production management software would be looked upon favorably
Prerequisites of the position include
- Tertiary qualification in Brewing or Similar
- Minimum three years commercial brewing experience including 12 months experience in a supervisory or management role
Remuneration will be commensurate with experience.
