Felons Brewing Co. is a modern-day brewery nestled down under Story Bridge on the banks of the Brisbane River. Every day, we roll up our doors with a smile – brewing balanced beer which remains connected to nature and all that is good about Brisbane.
We are seeking a dynamic & experienced Venue Manager to join our team. Reporting to the General Manager, your primary focus would be to support the day-to-day operations, which includes the management of bars, floor, team members, security and events/functions, all while displaying a passionate enthusiasm for the brand. Key Responsibilities will include:
- Leading the guest experience and continually looking for opportunities to improve
- Lead and coach a diverse team of people ensuring that team culture is at the forefront of everything that we do
- Forecasting & planning of wages & COGs
- Management rostering
- Recruitment & staff management
- Developing and leading management team
- Assisting the guests with any feedback and actioning as appropriate
- Contribute to a culture of care and safety, ensuring it becomes a way of life within the business
- Ensuring venue presentation is at a high standard at all times
- Liaising with other departments on a regular basis
- Working collaboratively with other venues at HSW
- Support marketing team in executing all new beer releases.
- Foster a culture which converts our consumers into adorers of Felons Brewing Co.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience managing a fast paced, high volume bar
- Previous experience in managing and coaching teams
- A high knowledge of beer & our brewery
- Sound knowledge of wine, spirits & mixed drinks
- Team focused with a strong focus on building team culture
- Ability to own situations and make decisions as necessary
- RSA essential, RMLV desired
- Experience with forecasting & managing wage costs
- Experience in controlling COGs
- Setting budgets & implementing financial control measures
- A background in a quality hospitality business
- Intermediate computer skills
- Qualification in Hospitality desire
