Did you know that Bob Hawke's political career started in Melbourne, with his most frequented pub being the iconic John Curtin Hotel in Lygon St, Carlton?
If you'd like to help carry on Bob's legacy in Victoria, while helping us support our environmental charity partnership with Landcare Australia, Hawke’s Brewing Co. is seeking an experienced, self-driven sales rep to not only lead the Victorian charge for a fast-growing, proudly independent, Aussie beer company, but also kickstart its business growth in the state that Bob once called home.
Our core range of brews consists of Hawke’s Lager (2018 AIBA trophy winner and #65 GABS Hottest 100), Hawke’s Patio Pale (2018 AIBA Gold Medal and #35 GABS Hottest 100), Hawke’s Underdog Session Lager and Hawke’s Opener IPA. And with our new world-class brewery in full production mode, we are beautifully placed to deliver additional core and limited release varieties.
As our first sales gun in Melbourne, your main focus will be to build distribution and volume in both on and off premise channels, but in particular driving retail distribution in-line with key banner group activity. The role includes building distribution, developing in-store activity, managing tastings, delivering staff training sessions and running events. We’re small but growing quickly, so there will also be opportunities to have your say in broader business strategy and other areas where you can grow with us.
We’re looking for someone proactive, results-focused and of course, bloody likeable (just like Hawkie). Ideally, you’ll have experience in on and off premise alcohol sales and a positive attitude and ‘customer first’ approach to help you build long-lasting customer mateships. Beer sales experience is an obvious advantage.
We’re offering a competitive base salary, car allowance and performance-related bonus. Remuneration is commensurate with experience. We’ll also work with you to provide opportunities to grow and develop your career at Hawke’s. A current drivers’ licence and appropriate vehicle, as well as a relevant local RSA certification will be required.

Bob not only gave the boys a crack but also generously passed on all his royalties to allow the company to support a charity partnership with environmental NPO, Landcare Australia. In just over four years, Hawke’s Brewing Co. has raised more than $300,000 for Landcare Australia, while brewing some delicious, award-winning beer along the way. We run operations out of our brewery in Marrickville, Sydney, with the aim to one day get a cold Hawke’s in the hands of punters in all parts of Australia.
