Job Description: General Manager / Operations Manager
We are seeking a highly motivated person to take on a unique opportunity as General Manager to build a busy, expanding business in a fast growing industry. The role includes leading a small, diverse team, managing the day to day operations across a number of teams, building strategies to improve performance, utilising the programs and procedures already in place and project manage a planned expansion.
About us
Six String Brewing Co is an established craft brewery on the NSW Central Coast. Locally owned the business has a number of facets including a manufacturing and packaging of beer and soft drinks, wholesale sales, a tap room with local and tourism trade and is active in community, music and sporting events across the region. Six String has been at the forefront of the craft beer industry in the region and continues to grow. Coming into our 10th year we have an expansion planned to allow for further growth and looking for someone to lead the team in this undertaking.
Selection Criteria
Essential:
- Experience and a proven track record in team management and ability to support staff to achieve success
- Highly efficient, effective, organised and reliable with careful attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment as part of a team and independently
- Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Confidence in using POS, stock management and customer relations software
- Experience with project management successfully within budget and to a deadline
- Substantial experience in financial and budget management
Desirable:
- Knowledge of and previous experience in Sales and/or Hospitality
- An understanding of the Craft Beer Industry
