Job Title: Brewer
Reports to: Head Brewer
Position purpose: This role is responsible for completing the required processes to deliver beer safely of the appropriate quality end to end for our customers.

Brewing
- Milling
- Brewhouse operation
- Malt allocation
- Raw material preparation
- Spent grain management
- QC tasks
- General warehousing
- Brew-house CIP
- Data entry and record keeping
Cellaring
- Operation of centrifuge
- Yeast pitching and yeast handling
- Dry hopping
- CIP of brewery vessels and equipment
- QC Tasks
- General Hygiene
- General maintenance
- Data entry and record keeping
- Stakeholder management
- Effluent plant operation
Safety:
- Report all incidents and near misses within 24 hr period of occurrence to Head Brewer
- Adhere to safety directives set by the management team
- Participate or lead problem solving and improvement
- Contain active hazards when reasonably practicable
- Ensure yours and others PPE is in good working order
- Complete assigned workplace inspections, risk assessments etc.
Quality Control:
- Perform all QC checks in line with Hawkers quality plan
- Keep accurate records of results
- Escalate non-conformance
- Take steps to rectify non-conformance to the level allowed in role/experience
- Participate in problem-solving when applicable
- Participate in sensory analysis
Production:
- Deliver the production plan
- Provide feedback on scheduling
- When necessary, aid interdepartmentally
Reporting:
- Escalate risk to production plan attainment
- Report on excessive loss/waste
- Detail any deviation to normal process
- Complete handovers to team and management
