Margaret River Brewhouse are based in a surf shack like home in WA's South West.
They've grown steadily since launching in 2016, amassing a swag of trophies along the way, and now are looking to take on a new head brewer.

A great opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced brewer to lead our brewery team and help define our brewing future. Since starting out in 2016 we have organically grown our beer and brand around connection to our community through our pumping brewpub in Margaret River. We ventured out a little in 2020 to stock beer shelves in other parts of WA and have now officially run out of room! We recently commenced building a new production facility in the heart of Margaret River to add to our well-established brewpub down the road. The first stage of this facility will enable production if 1.2M litres with additional capacity built into Stage 2.
So, we are looking for a good person with great brewing experience to take a lead role in our expansion project and guide our enthusiastic brewing team to continue to produce great beer. We want to build on our well-respected and highly awarded core range of beers and seasonals by developing new and interesting styles as we expand. The idea is to bring the position in early (aiming to open the facility in June 2023) to give the head brewer time and space to create a culture, framework, systems and beer development to help us take the big step into our new facility (whilst also keeping our brewpub punters happy).
To do this we’re looking for a brewer with the skills and desire to build a strong team aimed at brewing excellence. Good organisation, structure and dedication to process to ensure consistency in our beer will be critical. Required:
- At least three years brewing experience in a senior position in a production environment.
- Understanding of how to make excellent and consistent beer.
- Capacity to build, lead and develop great teams.
- OH&S knowledge.
- Understanding/overview in running packaging lines.
Desirable:
- Supervisory and management experience.
- Brewing qualifications
