They've won fans and awards aplenty for their beers over the years and are looking to take on a new head brewer.
JOB DESCRIPTION: MASTER BREWER / BEER GOD
Helios Brewing is an exciting, family-owned, sustainable brewery that prides itself in making bold beers that stand out and operating in an environmentally friendly manner. Considered an industry leader in our environmental design and practices, Helios has won awards including the prestigious Lord Mayor’s Sustainability in Business, numerous beer awards and a prize for our innovative and eye-catching package design.
We need an equally bold, driven, passionate person to be an integral part of our growing business.
The Opportunity
While we are not going to send you on Herculean tasks to slay mythological monsters on your own (not right away) you will work independently to brew both established beers in our effective core range and develop new beers for our rotating specialty and classic series. You will directly with the owner to establish a production plan and achievable/measurable targets.

You will be treated as a trusted family member and not micro-managed and work in tandem directly with the owner to continue to grow the brand and push the style guidelines. We don’t want to follow trends; we seek to be outliers by making beers that truly stand out.
We are flexible in our work hours and this position is Monday to Friday, but events, competitions and shows may require you to work the occasional night or weekend. We ask you to be equally flexible when these important sales and marketing opportunities arise.
Your Awesome Qualifications
Are you a beer hero, demi-god, or full brew god/goddess? Since we are small your drive and determination are your only limits to your growth and financial opportunities with Helios.
At a minimum you must:
- Be insanely passionate about craft beer! Not negotiable.
- Have at least 2 years proven professional brewing experience
- Be proficient and accurate in your record-keeping, reporting and excise calculations
- Driver’s, forklift and boiler operators’ licenses
- Show mechanical proficiency to fix the occasional widget
- Be an excellent communicator (friendly, professional, concise, motivational)
