The Flat Rock Brew Cafe has been busy growing over the past year or so and they've managed to pack an awful lot into their little venue.
The brewpub puts out a hugely diverse range of beer styles, produces its own cask ales, has an on-site barrel-ageing program and had a fruitful year at beer competitions to prove they’re doing it well. If you're into beer, it's the kind of place for you.
But they’re well into their food too, offering a diverse menu that’s garnished from what flourishes in their back garden (which includes the odd fresh hop). They’re now looking for someone to head up the kitchen and take their food offerings up a notch, so if you’re a handy chef wanting to work with some good people in a community-focused venue, read on…
FLAT ROCK BREW CAFE - HEAD CHEF
As we continue to become known for our great beer, Flat Rock is currently looking for a chef to take our food to another level. We want our food to complement our other offerings through a high quality, interesting and well presented menu.
If you're a beer loving chef, this is the job for you!
Our ideal candidate will fully run the kitchen, including ordering, maintaining careful and efficient stock control, uphold a strict cleaning program and ensure clear communication when working closely with the brewer and bar manager.
Whilst being part of a small team, you will be given a high level of autonomy in developing the menu. Additionally, we hold regular beer related events and group bookings that provide opportunities to showcase our food in interesting ways, including beer matching.
Experience in a similar venue is an advantage, but not essential and an attractive remuneration package is available for the right candidate.
To apply, or for more information, please contact Karl at flatrockbrewcafe@iinet.net.au.
Applications close December 19 2015.
