Three Tails is the rustic brewpub and smokehouse opened in Mudgee by some of the folks behind Nomad Brewing in the Northern Beaches.

They're looking to hire a new head brewer, and have roles to fill in the bar and venue too.

JOB DESCRIPTION: HEAD BREWER

Want to leave the rat race and looking for a better quality of live with more cash in your pocket at the end of week? Looking for a tree change and want to move to one of NSW’s nicest rural towns, Mudgee, (Voted in TripAdvisor’s top destinations in Australia two years running) working in one of regional NSW’s hottest new brew pub / brewery destinations?

Three Tails Brewery and Smokehouse is looking to hire a new full-time Brewer to guide our growth as we expand our capacity and venues, plus add in distilling.

As a small business, this role will also cover other tasks from assisting in the venue and helping with overall business development.

In operation now for two years, Three Tails is located in an old heritage-listed venue in the heart of Mudgee and prides itself on being 100 percent independent, from the beers we make and serve to the soft drinks and chips we sell across the counter. Our venue consists of 21 taps (half of which feature guest beers), one of the largest whisky and gin offerings in the region, and a food offering which includes a Texas style smokehouse showcasing one of the largest smokers in Australia, all in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

The town of Mudgee is known for its wines, great food and environment, but is fast becoming a beer destination with three local brewers now running. Like most country towns, it’s very welcoming and has a huge amount to offer to visitors and tree changers... You’ll love it!

The role will commence straight away with an attractive package to suite the experience of the chosen candidate. Including:

  • Good salary
  • Flexible hours
  • Help to re-locate
  • Staff perks in the venue

Expected in the role:

  • Experience in managing a brewery and production process. (references)
  • Creativity in beers and a desire to create new and exciting offerings. Not to be afraid to take risks.
  • Management of the production process and team. (you’ll be supported by a support production team)
  • Some work within the venue behind the bar and helping run the brewpub

Plus we’re also looking for full-time bar and venue management staff.
