Job Description: Assistant Brewer
Urban Alley are looking for a passionate individual to work in multiple aspects of the production of our beer.
The Role:
Cellar, packaging and warehousing with room to grow into brewing.
We are hiring with the hope that the person will be excited to learn and grow and eventually be a production brewer at our Docklands facility. We need someone who is able to CIP tanks, monitor beer, work the pack line, clean & fill kegs as well as do general warehousing. The role is part time with the option to work additional bar shifts in the Docklands Pub.
About Urban Alley:
We have a 25hl brewery in Docklands and a 5hl brewpub in Knox Ozone. We focus on approachable core range beers and do a monthly release of one off brews. Typically an IPA or something else that suits the weather. We are hospitality focused and pride ourselves on running great venues for all kinds of people.
Required Attributes:
- 1+ years in a similar role
- Ability to lift up to 25kg
- Able to stay on feet for most of an 8-10 hour shift
- A love for quality beer
Desirable Qualifications:
- Victorian Driver’s License
- Victorian Forklift License
- Victorian RSA
- Brewing Qualifications
