Common People call the Northern Rivers home, with the craft brewery located in the lovely town of Bangalow.

Currently, they're looking for an experienced sales manager to drive sales of their beer across their home state and in Queensland. Here's what you need to know about the role. 


Job Description: Wholesale Territory Manager

Having opened at the start of 2022, Common People Brewing Co is a craft brewery for the people of the Byron Shire and beyond. Owned and created by born-and-raised locals and their partners, the team are family and friends - common people. 

Common People is your home away from home. A craft brewery with an inviting tasting room, set within a working production house, it's a great place to relax with friends and family. 

There’s a breezy garden deck for summer, a cosy fireplace and heating for winter, plus board games, Friday happy hours, food and drink specials, events, great tunes and dogs  are welcome too. 

Common People has a Core Range of crafty and sessional beers that are always on offer,  including an IPA, a Pale Ale, a White Ale, a Hazy IPA, a Lager and a Stout. They also get super crafty with their Seasonable brews which hang around for a few months, and always have something new to try with their limited edition Special Batch Brews, which are  experimental and artisanal, using locally sourced and seasonal ingredients wherever possible. 

Common People are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join the team and help get our beers through NSW and Queensland. 

Job Description:

  • Building and maintaining relationships with the on and off-premise trade accounts in local territory (Primarily Sunshine Coast to Port  Macquarie and inland) 
  • Driving growth of our brand and sales through new account acquisition 
  • Meeting KPIs around sales targets, territory and product growth, and  new account activations 
  • Regular visitation of wholesale accounts to new and existing products 
  • Performing merchandising activities in on and off-premise accounts 
  • Execution of promotions and activities to drive sales 
  • Sales administration and account management 
  • Working festivals, events and hosting consumer tastings in retail  settings to generate brand awareness (will require some weekend work)
  • Filling orders & product deliveries - Sunshine Coast to Port Macquarie  and inland 
  • Occasional taproom bar shifts 

Required to be available from time to time to help out with other aspects of the  business, including some production and packaging, and general maintenance duties. 

Salary dependent on experience, plus bonuses.
