But to ensure it runs smoothly, they're seeking out an experienced venue manager to join them at the Social House.
Job Description: Venue Manager
Slipstream Brewing Co is expanding to the Sunshine Coast and is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Venue Manager to join the team and run our new venue; Slipstream Brewing Social House, which will be located in Birtinya.
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the new venue operations, ensuring a smooth flow of service and an exceptional beer and dining experience for the Sunshine Coast community and beyond.
The new venue has a large seating capacity of 300 pax, a flexible function space offering, and a host of exciting new opportunities. We are seeking a dedicated Venue Manager to lead the charge in getting our new venue ready for opening and manage its ongoing operations.
This role offers the opportunity to establish a new venue experience, build a team and implement systems and procedures to ensure a successful operation.
The ideal candidate will possess previous venue management and leadership experience and bring a passion for outstanding customer service and team management. They should also bring innovative ideas to help the venue achieve its full potential.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate the front of house & kitchen team in fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop and implement systems to ensure efficient service, cost control, and adherence to liquor licensing regulations.
- Manage beverage and labour costs in relation to revenue and implement strategies to achieve business targets.
- Manage inventory and POS systems efficiently
- Promote a culture of care and safety, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations for both staff and guests.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the venue.
- Foster a culture of customer engagement, retention and strong loyalty by leading innovative and targeted initiatives, which maintains venue popularity year-round.
- Collaborate with the business directors to discuss strategic initiatives and business planning.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Contribute to the development and execution of promotional events and programs.
- Maintain a strong working relationship with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless communication and service.
- Staff recruitment, training and development programs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a front-of-house management role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a brewery or restaurant setting.
- Proven experience in financial performance monitoring and reporting, including budgeting, revenue generation and cost control measures to achieve profitability targets.
- Proven track record of success in leading and motivating a team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service standards.
- Passion for craft beer and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
- Proficiency in a point-of-sale system.
- RMLV & Approved Managers Licence
- Event planning experience within the hospitality industry will be highly regarded.
Salary on offer:
$85,000 - $95,000 dependent on experience.
