Job Description: Brewer
Co-Conspirators Brewing Company, founded in 2016, is an independent brewery passionate about creating innovative, high-quality beer through collaboration. With our brewpub in Brunswick, we seek an experienced brewer to help craft a dynamic range of beer styles in our 10BBL Brewhouse with 6 x 10BBL Fermenters.
Job Overview
As our new Brewer, you’ll join us full-time (Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends as required) to lead the production of a diverse lineup of beers, maintaining our commitment to quality and innovation. The role involves wort production, vessel sanitisation, dry hopping, yeast management, and waste management. We’re looking for someone who loves variety, collaboration, and the challenge of crafting flavourful, standout brews.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute brewing and cellaring operations.
- Maintain high-quality standards and sensory evaluations
- Keep the brewhouse clean and safe for efficient operations
- Follow and improve standard operating procedures
- Troubleshoot and resolve brewing issues
- Document and maintain records accurately
- Manage maintenance and cleaning programs
- Participate in recipe development and continuous improvement activities
About You
The ideal candidate has:
- 3+ years of brewing experience (preferred)
- A brewing qualification (IBD diploma or equivalent is preferred but not essential)
- Strong teamwork, integrity, and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Excellent organisational skills and a commitment to OH&S practices
- Motivation to mentor and support other team members
Desired Skills
- In-depth brewing process knowledge
- Quality control experience
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
