Felons Brewing Co have been producing beers on the banks of the Brisbane River since late 2018. 

If you'd like to join the brewing team, they're looking to take on a cellarhand in a casual role. 


JOB DESCRIPTION: CELLARHAND

Felons Brewing Co is modern-day brewery now open on the banks of the Brisbane River. With the response to our opening we have had from the Brisbane community and as we expand our reach to more beer lovers, we are now looking for a cellarhand to join the Felonry.

Named after the four felons who were the first settlers to discover the brisbane river, we are inspired by their spirit of freedom and discovery to brew beer for everyone and anyone. We embrace the traditions of the past while being inspired by the present to brew balanced and natural beers of no fuss.

As proud brewers we believe in brewing with passion and freedom and are now looking for a like-minded person to work alongside passionate industry professionals.

As our cellarhand you will be responsible for:

  • Working with the lead brewer and wider brewing team, to deliver quality beer as outlined by the brewery production plan.
  • Quickly building an understanding of our packaging processes (both kegging and bottling), taking on the tasks required in these areas.
  • Becoming autonomous in your ability to operate our keg cleaner and filler.
  • Supporting our logistics team with daily forklift movements, and stock management within the brewery, including weighing and preparation of raw materials.
  • Becoming a champion of hygiene, ensuring our brewery remains an exemplary example of cleanliness.
  • Being an ambassador for our brewery in the local community and our venue.

To become part of our team you will have:

  • A passion for beer.
  • A valid australian forklift licence.
  • Strong communication skills and be a driven individual, with a disciplined and consistent approach.
  • A focus on flexibility, able to be agile with the tumultuous nature of brewery operations.

This is a casual role with predominantly weekday work. Shift work is to be expected, between the hours of 6am and 10pm. Uniform and protective equipment will be provided.
