Mountain Culture opened last year in the Blue Mountains town of Katoomba and have picked up a lot of love for their beers since launching.
If you want to help shape the outside of those beers, the team is hiring a designer.
Job Description: Designer
Mountain Culture is a craft brewery and brewpub based in Katoomba, Blue Mountains. Since opening our doors in October 2019, we have been growing rapidly and now we are looking for an experienced designer to join our team on a permanent part-time basis (approximately 20 hours per week) with a view to move to full time as we grow.
The designer will be responsible for bringing our brand and our vision to life. We’re looking for someone who understands our customer and can express creativity while ensuring our brand’s ethos is always front and centre.
The designer’s main responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Can design - both 500ml and 355ml
- Packaging
- Promotional assets including posters, EDMs, social media tiles etc
- Merchandising, from t-shirts to glassware
- Some website and e-commerce design (Shopify)
The ideal candidate will:
- Have worked in a similar role for around three years
- Be passionate about beer, with a strong understanding of the market and our place in it (it’s a bonus if you’re passionate about the outdoors too)
- Deliver high-quality designs consistently across a range of mediums
- Be incredibly creative (while still being compliant with legal requirements where necessary)
- Be able to see the bigger picture of where our brand is going and how to tell the story
- Love a deadline and clear communication
- Be a good team player that is willing to learn continually and improve processes
- Photography and videography skills advantageous
