Job Description: Lab Technician
Hawkers are seeking a Lab Technician to join our engaged team. We've won multiple awards since opening more than six years ago and are growing consistently year after year.
The successful candidate will be involved with the following main tasks:
- Run daily chemical analysis of unfermented, fermenting and finished beer products.
- Input of analysis data
- Data analysis of finished products to reflect on process improvements
- Sensory preparation
- Work on continuously improving the house laboratory program
- Calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- Chemical and biological contamination sample analysis
- Quality analysis of packaged beer from retention and returned stock
- Collecting micro samples for external laboratory
- Bitterness(IBU) testing
- Yeast cell counting
- Running daily sensory program
- Barrel testing and sensory analysis
- Barrel program administration
- Maintaining Duty Brewer roster and weekend set up
- Ensure that other brewery staff understand and are able to complete required day to day lab processes
