Dainton Beer have picked up a string of Australian beer awards and have become known for their creative releases that often push the boundaries.

Job Description: Marketing Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a passionate team of creative and dedicated individuals wanting to make the best possible beer they can and share it with the world. 

Over the last four years we’ve won Champion Australian Craft Beer – twice, Champion Australian Large Independent Brewery and a host of other medals and awards. 

We’re looking for a Marketing Manager to take our brand and business to the next level.

Areas of responsibility:

  • Working closely with the executive and sales teams, to develop and execute the marketing strategy across all channels of the business.
  • Liaising with graphic designer and other creative department staff to execute marketing goals, POS branding and promotional material
  • Researching and analysing market trends and competitors.
  • Tracking effectiveness and ROI of marketing campaigns and reporting findings to the executive team.
  • Understand brand consumers and develop insights to contribute to the strategy & ongoing innovation of the brand. 
  • Negotiating and liaising with third-party agencies, suppliers and organisers to achieve optimum results.
  • Writing and delivering content, copy and social media plans that are in line with brand message and tone.
  • Working to and maintaining marketing budgets to ensure that budget spend is delivering a ROI.
  • Planning and overseeing all events, festivals, beer launches and activations.
  • Working with relevant teams to both assist and enhance in increasing brand visibility.

Knowledge & experience required:

  • Minimum:
    • More than five years of consumer or brand marketing experience in FMCG
  • Ideal:
    • Degree in Marketing
    • Experience working on a global or like brand would be a benefit
    • Deep understanding of beer consumers with a focus on craft.

Roles, skills and attributes required

  • Experience operating and influencing at a senior level both internally and externally
  • A good handle on consumer facing technology, apps, and websites 
  • A strategic thinker able to think outside the box to problem solve creatively.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing against new strategies in the digital world
  • Ability to work across multiple time zones effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with numerous departments. 
  • Execute new ways of thinking/approaching existing complex situations.
  • Strong Communication and interpersonal skills  
  • Strong prioritisation and organisation skills 
  • A willingness to learn, evolve and immerse into fast growing and passionate industry.
