Green Beacon's Brisbane home recently underwent a bit of a refurbishment and will soon be unveiling a new food offering for the brewpub.

Job Description: Venue Manager

Green Beacon has been a pioneer amongst the Brisbane craft scene since opening in 2013 and has unrivalled credentials in the Australian craft beer industry. 

Following recent refurbishment and upcoming launch of own food offering, we are now looking for a hands-on, passionate, and experienced Venue Manager to lead across the operations and customer experience of the Green Beacon Brewpub in Teneriffe, Brisbane.

The brewpub plays a key role in providing the best possible consumer touchpoint and brand experience. In your role as Venue Manager, you will lead the team to deliver exceptional customer experiences every time. You will be driven to transform every customer into a Green Beacon ambassador.

Beer is the foundation of social networks, and we can achieve more by bringing more people together, more often. To do this, you and the Green Beacon team will need to understand and strategise on how we can continue to facilitate bringing people together over our brilliant beers and hospitality setting.

Your key accountabilities will be

  • Take pride in understanding the latest concepts and trends in hospitality to ensure we continue to stay relevant
  • Develop a 3-year strategy for the venue
  • Lead staff in day-to-day operations
  • Oversee kitchen operations 
  • Plan and deliver regular events both in house and external 
  • People, performance & training
  • Financial P&L Management
  • Policy & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance to brand & corporate guidelines 

About you

  • Strong hospitality background and be able to understand and execute the successful inner workings of a venue
  • Previous venue management experience is necessary
  • Strong financial acumen as well as knowledge around regulatory and compliance issues within the hospitality industry
  • Genuine interest and passion for the food and beverage industry
  • Ability and drive to lead an enthusiastic team
  • Wonderful customer service skills
  • Ability to deliver memorable experiences to every guest
  • Outstanding communication and organisational skills
  • High standards of presentation for both yourself and your work
