Tribe Breweries has multiple brewing companies within its stable, including StockadeMornington Peninsula Brewery and Wilde Gluten Free, and brews beers for many other brewing companies too.

Currently, they're looking to hire an experienced brewer.. Here's what you need to know about the role.

Job Description: Experienced Brewer

Our brewery, operating as Brew Pack at Smeaton Grange, is well established in the craft beer market, producing a range of up to one hundred different beverage products brewed on site, and our continued growth means we have opportunity for a new brewer to join the team.

About the role

The role is full time, working a rotating shift roster over three weeks. Working alongside our talented and committed team, this opportunity is ideal for a Brewer who is looking to expand on their existing skills and experience in a commercial brewery environment.

Duties associated with the role include -

  • all tasks associated with brewing, cellaring, centrifuging, bottling and keg racking operations
  • applying sanitisation practices in the brewing and beverage manufacturing process,
  • accurate record keeping for quality analysis against our QA standards and industry specifications
  • support with general maintenance and cleaning tasks and promoting a clean and safe workspace.

The rotating roster includes day, afternoon and night shifts for our 24-hour plant - offering flexibility, and a learning opportunity to be partnered with various team members across the full spectrum of brewing and packaging processes. Working in a commercial brewery requires attention to the details and can be physically demanding work, but if brewing and craft beer is your passion, you will be right at home here, where you will have access to our excellent range of product - for quality control of course!

In order to be successful in this role, it is expected that you will have –

  • Experience in a brewery and demonstrated knowledge of the brewing process including packaging
  • Forklift ticket (completed, or be in the processing of obtaining this)
  • Ability to perform rotating shifts in a physically demanding work environment
  • Experience with canning and bottling lines is highly desirable.

Applicants who have recognised tertiary qualifications in brewing/food manufacturing or related subject, and/or mechanical and electrical experience related to food/beverage manufacturing equipment will be highly valued.

The best brewers who have grown in our business are enthusiastic about producing the best possible product and have a desire to learn and grow, and always demonstrate a professional attitude. If you want to join our Tribe, send your application to careers@tribebreweries.com.au and let us know a bit about you and why you should be here!

Close of application date is December 10, 2018.
