It's only a few weeks since our last roundup of new listings on the site. But, as the Crafty Pint team expands with the industry around it, we're getting rather quicker at getting supportive breweries, bars and bottleshops into their respective directories.
So here, already, are 12 more that we've added since the start of June, a mixture of breweries, bottleshops and venues from South Australia, Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales, ACT and Queensland. Expect to see another three or four added by the end of this week too.
If you're involved in an Australian craft beer business and would like to know how to get word out to the largest audience of craft beer lovers in the country – while helping us continue to cover and support the good beer community – then you can request a Media Kit by email.
Pikes Beer Company, SA – The first commercial Pikes beers were brewed in South Australia 140 years ago. Today, the original brewer's descendants are keeping the legacy alive at their Clare Valley brewery. Crafty Cabal Member offer at Pikes Beer Company: 10% Off All Take Home Purchases
Hobart Brewing Company, TAS – Well travelled brewer Scott Overdorf and beer loving lawyer Brendan Parnell finally took their brewing dream to its natural conclusion with the opening of the impressive Red Shed brewery and venue on Hobart's waterfront. Crafty Cabal Member offer at Hobart Brewing Company: FREE Tasting Paddle!
The Noble Hops, NSW – A small bar doing things right and creating a neighbourhood vibe in the heart of Redfern. The Noble Hops hasn't been open long but has already gained a loyal following, not least for its well curated and cared for rotating beer lineup.
Ladro TAP, VIC – The second venue from the couple behind Fitzroy's Ladro pizza joint is about quality and sustainability in equal measure. All beverages are served on tap, waste is kept to a minimum and used, where possible, to fertilise the neighbourhood's plants, and the food is top notch too.
Pact Beer, ACT – When you've gone from knocking back slabs of VB to winning the country's premiere homebrew comp, chances are you've a knack for brewing. So Kevin Hingston and mates Marc and Tim decided to do something about it, launching gypsy brewery Pact in 2015.
Sweet Amber Brew Cafe, SA – While they may not have the largest array of taps, in Adelaide it's frequently the small bars leading the way for craft beer when it comes to knowledge and passion for their product. Semaphore's Sweet Amber brings just that to the beachside suburb.
KAIJU! Beer, VIC – Now safely ensconced in their own home – albeit one they share with Exit while assisting the likes of BrewCult and West City Brewing – KAIJU! is poised to deliver more of its beautifully packaged, hopped to the eyeballs, monstrous delights to hop fiends.
Brewski, QLD – One of the bars that's changed the nature of CaXXXXton Street, the hospo strip just up the road from Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium, Brewski has become one of the key beer bars in the city since opening in 2014 and is set to expand in the coming months.
Stockade Brew Co, NSW – The "house label" for BrewPack, a brewery that has made beers for dozens of gypsy and contract brewers across the country, Stockade is quickly making a name for its rapidly growing lineup of colourful – and colourfully presented – beers.
Balter Brewers, QLD – As recipes for success in Australia go, combining four of the country's top surfers, their mates, a trophy-winning brewer with a knack for brewing sessionable beers and one of the sexiest breweries in the country – on the Gold Coast – is pretty darn tasty. Crafty Cabal Member offer at Balter Brewing (CUB/Asahi): FREE Schooner!
A Point Of Difference, VIC – Seeing where the market was heading and aware Melbourne's east was something of a craft beer bottleshop desert, Roger Sauer opened the Santa's Grotto that is APOD Liquor. He's been swamped since opening, proving his four decades in booze weren't wasted. Crafty Cabal Member offer at A Point of Difference Liquor: 20% Off Mixed Dozens at APOD
Windsor Alehouse, VIC – Someone else who wanted to move with the changing times was Pint on Punt owner Evan. So he's overhauled the former Irish pub, turning it into a welcoming gastropub with nine of its taps rotating through nothing but local crafties. Crafty Cabal Member offer at The Windsor Alehouse: 2-FOR-1 Tasting Paddles!
