We Love Craft Beer Moves Into Beer Industry Marketing

The founder of We Love Craft Beer, a website and social platform-based community celebrating the local beer industry, has pivoted into the world of beer industry marketing.

Nigel Ayling, who also founded the South Coast Ale Trail and runs craft beer events in the region, has reworked the We Love Craft Beer site to offer a range of marketing services tailored for breweries, venues, bottleshops, and other beer-related businesses.

Media Release: From a review site to an Industry Marketing service

Founded in 2015, We Love Craft Beer started as a place for beer fans to connect and share their experiences with Craft Beer. Over the years, it grew into a thriving community of over 14,000 members in Australia. Through various social media channels, the platform shared beer and brewery reviews, offered merchandise, and hosted events.

As the beer industry expanded and evolved, moving beyond just the term "Craft", We Love Craft Beer adapted its focus to service a broader community and in 2021 it launched a new platform called “Beerducation” aiming to educate consumers about the diverse world of beer.

Founder Nigel Ayling commented, “I've always had a passion for Craft Beer and the wider beer industry. With more than two decades of experience in marketing, I see a great opportunity to serve the beer community more broadly.”

Ayling's involvement in the beer industry became evident with the launch of the South Coast Ale Trail in 2021. Starting with nine breweries, this initiative grew to include 27 breweries along the South Coast of NSW. Ayling played a key role in developing the concept, branding, and promoting the trail through various mediums, including notable features in Rex Inflight Magazine and the Daily Telegraph.

Building on this experience and his background in marketing, Ayling is now focusing on the beer industry full time. The newly revamped We Love Craft Beer website offers a range of marketing services tailored for breweries, venues, bottle shops, and other beer-related businesses. Services include web development, e-commerce solutions, SEO, PPC advertising, and specialized analytics programs.

Looking ahead, Ayling is optimistic about the industry's future. He said, “2024 will have its challenges, but I'm excited to work with beer businesses and help them navigate this dynamic and competitive market.”
