The first three years have flown past for Bailey Brewing, and the brewers making beer in one of the Swan Valley's most bucolic venues are marking the occasion with a hop forward double IPA. Although they're better known for their dialled-in, crowd-pleasing releases, this provides evidence that Bailey aren’t afraid to make a little more noise, especially when there’s a birthday party on the horizon.
“We wanted to do something a bit different for us," head brewer Damien Bussemaker says, "something big, hoppy and a bit eye-catching.”
That said, their convivial vibe remains still well in play as a mix of NZ and US hops lays down pineapple, Paloma themes and sashaying fruity lūʻau. Taut bitterness tickles on a gently juicy base, one which quickly dissolves as dry as old mate’s quips as he flips the party snags on the can labels. Mind you, old mate doesn’t seem to be doing much; "Just resting my eyes…"
