They care a lot for their Northern Beaches community at Freshwater Brewing and that love for local doesn’t just extend to anyone who walks through their doors. It also means working closely with local venues, including by brewing two collabs with two quite different different operators. First up is Wilbur’s Shandy was brewed with Wilburs Deli which is famed for two things above all else: sandwiches and lemonade. While the beer and bread collab might be around th corner, this brew day saw the brewery take their core range Wedge Cerveza and blend it with Wilbur’s lemonade for a midstrength that's effortlessly clean, refreshing and packed with fresh, home-style lemonade flavours.
Additionally, Freshwater had a nice and hazy time with the folks at Good Good Company to brew Goody Two Schoos. The hospo group counts Chica Bonita, Sunset Sabi, Busta and Winona within its stable so if you ever wondered what kind of beer works with Mexican street food, sushi and pasta, the answer is a hazy pale. More specifically, it's a hazy pale brewed with the experimental Kiwi hop NZH-101 and two different Euro yeast strains to provide ripe papaya, mango and orange juice notes. Meanwhile, a touch of salt lightens things up and makes the soft and cloudy beer particularly suited to an afternoon in the sun.
