As with the German originals that inspired it, Brightstar's Berliner Weisse is one of the lower alcohol options on their bar lineup. It's a sprightly thing that can be taken straight up or with a flavoured syrup as is traditional in Europe. Fruited editions of the Berliner Weisse also feature throughout the year: variants have included cucumber and grapefruit.
Even though it's lower in alcohol, there's no compromise on the flavours or the body, while remaining easy to drink. The spritzy carbonation really awakens the senses, bringing forth a good whack of lemon, not to mention a decent sourness, acidity and a sherbet vibe. Add a clean, crisp and dry clip at the end and you've got seriously refreshing beer.
