There’s no shortage of beauty to be found on Phillip Island, but if you want to see something majestic it can be best to look outward. During the middle of the year, you can spot Humpback and Southern Right whales as they make their way north, and A Whale Of An Ale is a seasonal beer dedicated to that wonderful season.
I’m by no means an expert in whale migration but, judging by beer alone, it’s safe to say that from Bass Strait those whales are heading straight to the tropics. After all, how else could you explain the melody of rockmelon, passionfruit, berry and orange and slight spice that combines in this easy-drinking and snappy-finishing beer?
