Sours make regular appearances on the Wild Hop chalk board, from hop-driven and barrel-aged styles to simpler kettle and fruited sours. 2 Plums 4 1 fits into the latter, being a strikingly tart kettle sour packed with locally grown blood plums.
A crowd favourite, the beer has appeared on the no-core-range Wild Hop tap list several times over, finding its way into punters' glasses with a few tweaks with each reiteration. Big plum character and refreshing acid are constants for the Berliner Weisse style beer, however, packing a punch and offering a delicate balance simultaneously. Citrus zest, sour grapes and a touch of funk also feature with a lowly 10 IBU not conflicting with lasting tartness and soft, spritzy mouthfeel.
2 Plums 4 1 is just one of many sours on offer from the brewing team at Wild Hop, effortlessly refreshing and full of life, perfect for deck sipping and sun soaking.
