Wild Hop’s beer list is scattered with an array of raucously-named, barrel-aged beers, fruited sours, DDH NEIPAs and other creative New World joys, but proudly sitting amongst all of those is the humble and considerately brewed Short Shorts Pilsner.
A beer of pride for the Wild Hop brewers, it was one they were eager to get right and cement as a benchmark from day one. Ask punters and you'll find the brewers achieved their aim as Short Shorts ticks all the boxes, and has visitors voting with their wallets and mouths to establish the traditional pils is the brewery's best-seller; it even has a designated tank continually lagering the beer year-round.
Short Shorts is, as you'd expect, light and refreshing with a restrained German hop character and a squeaky-clean yeast profile. Crystal clear and effervescent with a trademark dense white head, Short Shorts display some light yeast esters and floral hop character. A super clean and crisp finish makes you yearn for the next sip.
Wild Hop don't do a "core range", with their Pilsner the only beer pouring every day of the year and, thanks to the commitment of the brewing team, tasting consistent too, making it a must try when visiting the Yallingup brewery and kitchen.
