If you haven't attended a Brewsvegas yet, you may not be aware that it celebrates the fun and silliness of Brisbane's beer community as much as the beers, breweries and venues that inhabit it.
After all, would a beer festival host an annual pool party if it took itself too seriously? We think not.
The 2018 running of the Great Brewsvegas Pool Party takes place on February 17 at the Ithaca Pool and will feature the launch of the official Brewsvegas beer by Stone & Wood. Continuing the theme of wanton fun, it's a hoppy potato ale – albeit with a serious side: all profits are being generously donated by Stone & Wood to OzHarvest Brisbane and Brewsvegas 2019.
Entry to the pool party costs $10, which gets you a Brewsvegas 2018 program and a glass of the official beer. There will be other drinks on tap (including cider) and a food truck too.
The Wet Fish will be soundtracking the night, providing surf tunes as you triumphantly ride your blow up toys across the pool.
So grab your togs and night time sunnies and celebrate with a beer, a swim and the good people of Brisbane.
