It's been billed as "A Celebration Of Hops" and the merest whiff of the premise behind Resinfest will leave you with absolutely no reason to doubt it'll do exactly as it promises.
Timed for the Southern Hemisphere hop harvest and hosted at Fixation's Incubator, Resinfest will see the following hop-lovin' brewers get together with their best, freshest and/or hoppiest beers for a free-flowing free-for-all:
Mr Banks – Hop Nation – Stone & Wood – Bridge Road – Otherside – Garage Project – Range Brewing – Mountain Culture – The Mill – Molly Rose – Bodriggy – Stomping Ground
There will be two sessions across the day: 1pm to 4pm and 6pm to 9pm.
It'll cost you $65 to get in and, in return, you'll receive unlimited tastings of all beers – plus a $5 food voucher to redeem at Sparrow’s Philly Cheesesteaks which will be parked up out front.
All the while, Fixation will be brewing up their annual wet hop beer so the place will probably smell like a dealer's den.
What's more, every cent raised from the event will go to Ryefield Hops, the family-owned and operated hop farm in southern NSW whose harvest was badly impacted by the severe drought and recent bushfires. The money raised on the day will go towards raising new hop rhizomes for a future harvest.
A celebration of hops indeed.
