It's fair to say thing have changed a little over the past few weeks.
And, in the beer world, the postponement of the country's biggest week – Good Beer Week and GABS in Melbourne – has left a rather large hole in the annual events calendar.
Thankfully, there are people who refuse to take it lying down and that includes the team at Maverick Imports who'd lined up a shipload of fresh British beers for the occasion.
So now, with people unable to gather in Melbourne to try them, they're sending them across the country and taking advantage of the growler renaissance to throw a nationwide party instead.
The breweries who've sent beer are
- Cloudwater
- Polly's Brew Co
- Tiny Rebel
- Overtone
- Vibrant Forest
- Two Tribes
And there are venues across the country eager to fill your growlers with them (see below).
Also on the agenda is a Meet The Brewer with Cloudwater founder Paul Jones, who's being beamed in from Manchester for a chat with Maverick founder Jason Cameron and James Smith of The Crafty Pint.
To be part of it, simply buy a growler or canimal of beer from participating venues around the country, and you'll receive a golden ticket.
There's also a second virtual Meet The Brewer with the team from Polly's Brew Co, the next big hype brewery out of Wales, on May 21.
