After facing the fate of many festivals in 2020, Bright Brewery's annual midwinter extravaganza, Darker Days, is rising from the ashes from July 16-18, 2021.
The event is a celebration of all things dark and decadent with a focus on dark beer, live music and crackling bonfires and Darker Days 2021 is set to be bigger and darker than ever before with it running across three days.
The festival's Friday will include the opportunity to brew for a day with Bright's head brewer Reid Stratton, plus a welcome party and special dinner.
Saturday is the main festival day and gives you the chance to heat up with ten hours of live music, cold beer, hot food, local drinks and roaring fires. Surf-rock icon Kim Churchill will be joined on the bill by an eclectic lineup of Victorian musicians, including six-piece funk outfit Funk Rabbit, pop-punk band Since We Kissed, and indie-pop/rock duo This Way North.
This year, the High Country brewery have invited some brewing mates to the festival too, with Mr Banks and Molly Rose making the journey up from Melbourne to join Bright on the dark side. Alpine Cider, Billy Button Wines, Reed & Co Distillery and Backwoods Distilling will also be adding to the drinks menu, with more to be announced too.
