You really don't need us to tell you how well beer and barbecue go together. No, that's perfectly evident in the smells and sounds drifting across suburban Australia most days of the week.
But there's something a little bit special about a barbecue at a brewery, and Bad Shepherd will be showing exactly why when they host a Beer & BBQ showcase on March 30.
Their resident 'Pit Master' Kyle Downward will be on the tools and leading the way with four courses designed to show off his barbecue and smoking techniques and take your appreciation of grilled food up a notch:
- Course 1: House-made beer bread with grilled bone marrow and smoked rosemary salt
- Course 2: Spit roasted Brazilian beef (Picanha) with chimichurri
- Course 3: Smoked Black Onyx brisket with dill pickle and BBQ sauce
- Course 4: Grilled pineapple spears with bourbon-infused whipped cream
Each of the courses will be matched to a limited edition Bad Shepherd beer, with a brewer on hand to take you through why the beers have been chosen to match the food and explain the flavours and processes within.
Tickets are just $59 and you can book your spot at the table here.
