One of the country's biggest and most boisterous festivals returns to Adelaide this July.
After a series of COVID-related cancellations, the Beer & BBQ Fest made a storming return in 2022, filling four sessions at the Adelaide Showgrounds with brewers galore, BBQ aplenty, live music with big name headliners, masterclasses, madcap adventures and more.
And they're planning to go even bigger in 2023, when it returns from July 14 to 16 with a musical lineup featuring the likes of The Living End, Dune Rats, Avalanches founding member Dexter, Magic Dirt, Henry Wagons and more across five stages.
They're also putting together an Australian-wide international collab with Ukrainian brewery 2085, which will double as a campaign to raise funds for emergency aid for Ukrainian fighters and families.
On the beer front, there will also be the Untapped tour in the weeks before the event, visiting breweries across SA from May 20 to June 10, with the full brewer lineup for the festival set to be unveiled at the end of April. The BBQ lineup will follow in May but you can already find some of those appearing on the festival website here.
Festival director Aaron Sandow says: “2022 was a huge year for ABBF and we were blown away by the turn out. This year we’ve dialled it up and will be bigger, badder, fatter and louder again! It’s a beast.
“Another live stage means we will be able to host more diverse artists and we can’t wait to light the fires in July.”
Attendees can also look forward to live art shows, fire installations, secret drinking dens, live wrestling, BMX & skateboarding, axe throwing, Beer Bod comp, carnival rides, tattooing, motorbikes, DJs and the unveiling of the Kevin Bacon Spa & Wellness Retreat.
