Brewers, designers and anyone working in beer media can now enter the country's largest beer competition, with Melbourne Royal opening submissions for the 2024 Australian International Beer Awards (AIBA).
Tickets are also on sale for the Trophy Presentation Dinner on May 16 at the Melbourne Showgrounds, which sells out every year.
The AIBAs evaluate both draught and packaged beer, along with beer packaging design and beer media, and upon turning 30 in 2023, attracted a record 2,826 entries from more than 400 breweries in 21 countries.
In 2024, there will be 11 major trophies, including the coveted Champion Australian Beer and Champion International Beer trophies, accompanied by an additional 24 category trophies.
The 2024 Australian International Beer Awards also welcomes several exciting new refinements to the program, including two new additions to the 2023 Edition US Brewers Association Beer Style Guidelines: West Coast-Style India Pale Ale and Dessert or Pastry Stout, and New World Lager being split into Modern Lager and Modern Pilsner.
