Frenchies turn seven this August and are releasing a new beer to mark the occasion.
It's a beer very much in the manner of those they brewed in their early days: a Belgian golden ale called the Devil. It's brewed with Pilsner malts, Bohemian hops and a rare yeast strain, creating what they tell us is a beer with "a lively aroma and palate of fresh hops and hints of spices, along with a rounded mouthfeel that presents a lingering and refreshing dry finish.
If you'd like to put it to the test yourself, they're hosting a special tasting event to mark its launch, at which they'll also be showcasing a number of other beers. Tickets are free too – all you need to do in order to land a spot is sign up to the Frenchies Family on Facebook.
Brewery director Vincent De Soyres says of the Devil: “We wanted to develop something that reflected our European roots, featured a combination of some of our favourite ingredients from the continent, and paid homage to a classic beer style that has influenced Frenchies’ growth and development over the years.”
The other beers on the lineup are:
- Cool Kids – Troppo Hazy IPA
- Frenchies Dry
- Frenchies Mid
The team have enjoyed a fine seventh year too, filling their tanks with their own beers and contract beverages spanning beers, seltzers, RTDs and non-alcoholic drinks, and taking on a new brewer too.
