Sydney's One Drop Brewing are already known for their creative and colourful releases but to make their brand stand out more, they need some help.
They're hiring a senior graphic designer to help tell their story.
JOB DESCRIPTION: SENIOR GRAPHIC DESIGNER
One Drop Brewing Co. is an independently owned and operated brewery and distillery with a funky taproom and gin bar located in Botany, South East Sydney, showcasing our innovative, boundary-pushing creations. In under three years, we have become a well-recognised brand in the craft beer community for our consistent quality and boundary-pushing flavours, styles and processes and our creative approach to packaging and branding. We have earned international and national awards for both beer and gin, and worldwide recognition for our prolific new releases. We have learnt a lot about design & brand along the way and it is now time to unleash someone to take it to the next level.
We are looking for our founding Designer - someone well experienced who loves their craft and wants to work with us, evolving our brand with consistency in our visual communications.
Reporting directly to the owners, you will be responsible for all things design to communicate our brand, who we are, and the stories behind the exciting beers we continue to create.
This role exists to support the Marketing, Sales and Hospitality arms of One Drop Brewing Co. in developing and consistently applying a distinctive brand aesthetic across various touchpoints.
Duties:
Will include, but are not limited to the below including concept development, refinement to finished art and print production management:
- Development, execution and evolution of brand aesthetic across the below touchpoints as briefed by Marketing. Think anything from creating new brands, packaging and product launch collateral to working with creative artists, freelancers and illustrators and finding a consistent visual aesthetic in all that we present.
- Packaging: Beer can and Gin bottle packaging + tertiary packaging like boxes and shippers - both core + limited releases.
- Point of Sale Materials: e.g. posters, corflutes, shelf talkers, fridge banners etc for retail + on premise customers and letting the creative monster in you unleash in the Botany Taproom.
- Digital / Social media assets.
- Events: e.g. stand design, Gifts with Purchase (GWPs).
- Merch: Branded T-shirts, caps, and anything else you want to dream up.
- Development of brand guidelines: includes evolving the brand aesthetic today and defining the guidelines for the long term.
Skills:
- Must love beer (or at least Gin)
- Must have at least five years experience as a Graphic Designer
- Attention to detail in design artworking and super organised in version control and filing
- Adobe Creative Suite genius
- Good typography, use of colour, white space and tone
- Good knowledge of pre-press and working with suppliers / printers - Being an all-round legend.
